The search for eco-fashion can be overwhelming. With so many things to consider such as organic cotton, vegan leather, fair wages and carbon offsets, it can make shopping a daunting task. With this in mind, each month I will feature brands that I have discovered who are working in different ways for a more sustainable and transparent fashion industry.
As always, these brands will be on BeEco Fashion’s Shopping Guide for easy reference in the future.
Enjoy this month’s eco-friendly fashion brands!
Aeon Row creates timeless women’s fashion that encourages women to make a statement with their clothing.
The company uses recycled materials for its clothing, allowing the brand to minimize its impact on land, water, chemicals and dyes. To take this a step further, the company offers its own recycling program, called “Revived Fabrics“. Customer who buy from Aeon Row can send one of their old clothing items to be recycled under this program. Those who take advantage of this will receive a 15% discount off a future purchase.
The next life for the old clothing ranges in use from house insulation to raw materials for new fabric. The company is so committed to recycling that they have even implemented a way for customers to recycle the items their order came in. Customers who take advantage of their recycling program can send unwanted clothing in the same box their purchase came in. Rather than tape the box shut, Aeon Row requests customers place the box in the supplied pre-folded brown paper wrapping. By not taping the box shut, the company is able to re-use the boxes for future purchases.
